Company Background...
HITS was established in 1993 as a sole proprietorship
providing technical and business consulting services
to business and government. In 1999, HITS was
incorporated and expanded its business focus to become
a unique OEM and Systems Integrator.
Success enjoyed by HITS is attributed to the fact that
HITS discusses needs with its customers. HITS
then provides a customized product configuration
and/or service required to achieve the most cost
effective and efficient solution.

James Valentine, Chief Executive
Officer & President
Mr. Valentine's particular expertise involves the
organization and financing of emerging growth
companies involved in infrastructure and services
where he has served in a variety of key management
positions as well as a financier. His experience has
included being the Chairman of Tri Alpha Energy,
Chief Executive Officer of QoS Networks LTD, a
company providing IP services on a global basis, and
being the Chief Executive Officer of North American
Wireless Inc., a company engaged in the design,
construction and operation of nationwide wireless
infrastructure services. Mr. Valentine was a General
Partner of Montgomery Securities, serving as
Managing Director of the Corporate Finance
Technology Group. Mr. Valentine serves on the boards
of directors of LinkCom Inc., QoS Networks, Ltd.,
Tri Alpha Energy, Inc. and Valentine and Company.
Mr. Valentine received his BA with high honors from
the University of Florida and his Juris Doctor from
Harvard Law School.
Richard Nichols, Chief Operating
Officer
Mr. Nichols has over
thirty years of diversified management, business and
technical experience in the telecommunications and
information technology professions. His
qualifications include extensive background in
program management, contract administration, and
operations management. He has broad experience
developing, implementing and managing department and
project initiatives, as well as, comprehensive
business experience including proposal development,
contract negotiations, project management,
subcontract/vendor management, and financial
accountability. His experience has included being
the Principal of REN Enterprises, a firm providing
federal business and contract administration
consulting services to businesses, and Director of
Federal Operations for Dynamic Decisions, Inc., a
small 8A PC Manufacturer and Integrator. Mr.
Nichols was a Senior Federal Program Manager with
Sprint Government Systems Division where he managed
a number of various government contracts including
Sprint's largest non-FTS contract. Mr. Nichols has
been with HI Tech Services since 1999.
Robert (Bob) Hesser,
Executive Vice President
Mr. Hesser joined the Navy in 1963. During his
21 years of service, he gained extensive knowledge of
the IT industry and received his MBA in Computer
Information Systems. On May 1, 1984 he was
transferred to the Service Disabled Retirement List as
a Master Chief Cryptologic Technician (E-9).
After leaving the Navy, he went to the Naval Sea Systems Command as an IT
Manager. While there, some of his most significant
contributions were his efforts and leadership in the
Nation-wide automation of Navy Commands. In
1984, Bob began his active support of individuals with
disabilities and assisted them in finding employment
within the federal government. He then went to USDA where he
was responsible for automating 129 locations by
replacing a minicomputer system with the first Frame
Relay microcomputer Wide Area Network under FTS2000.
Because of his previous work with disabled persons, he
was selected to represent USDA on several federal
committees for identifying accommodations for the
disabled and agency compliance with the American
Disability Act (ADA). In 1993, Bob left the
government and formed HI Tech Services.
In addition to the current leadership and guidance he
provides to HI Tech Services,
he continues to provide extensive support for Service
Disabled Veterans and is an active member in the Taskforce
For Veteran Entrepreneurship.
Keith
B. Young, Chief
Information Officer
Mr. Young's expertise
involves the organization
and operation of Information
Technology development
enterprises. His experience
has included being the Chief
Technology Officer for
Indigo Engine, Director of
Development for the
Association of American
Railroads, Director of
Development for TenFold,
Inc., Senior Consultant with
International Business
Machines (IBM), a Senior
Manager responsible for
Information Management at
Carter Hawley, Hales’
Information Services
Division, and President of
Borg Engineering.
